Frischzelle | Neo in Darmstadt

Description

NEO from Würzburg create their very own sound: a genre-spanning blend of jungle, drum and bass, jazz, and hip-hop, unique and fresh. Jean-Loup Eberhardt came up with the idea of performing his drum and bass beats with a live band. Instead of relying solely on samples, NEO performs everything acoustically, blending DJ elements with live instruments. Their songs draw inspiration from the jungle beats of the early ’90s and are influenced by contemporary artists such as Nia Archives, Yussef Dayes, Tom Misch, and Pink Pantheress. With drums, keys, synth bass, guitar, vocals, saxophone, and flute, NEO creates something truly unique. Newcomers with a vision.
