KICK LA LUNA | Anne sagt Tschüss... in Darmstadt

Description

After nearly 35 years, percussionist Anne Breick will announce her departure from the band (for health reasons) with this special concert. KICK LA LUNA would like to celebrate this occasion in style together with the audience. Joining them will be musical friends and collaborators, such as Uli Kratz on congas. Whether it’s soul, salsa, funk, Brazilian styles, or ballads, the musicians of KICK LA LUNA have been performing successfully on the music scene for 34 years. The band’s hallmarks are their harmonies and rousing Latin rhythms. In addition to Elke Voltz’s powerful soul voice, Uli Pfeifer’s funk bass, and Anne Breick’s groovy percussion, Brazilian drummer Angela Frontera and salsa keyboardist Christiane Sattler have been part of the band for over 10 years. The band from Frankfurt am Main delivers rousing concerts with top-notch entertainment value. Their driving force is their vision of world music that bridges cultures. Their songs bring together a wide spectrum of musical influences. They stand for tolerance and openness, inspire courage, move listeners, get under your skin, and get to the heart of political and feminist statements. KICK LA LUNA is an institution in Germany’s world music scene. Their 10th CD (2022) is titled “Nicht ohne uns” (Not Without Us).
