The American jazz singer enchants audiences with exquisite compositions and a magnificent stage presence full of soul and passion. With her inimitable voice, which the New York Times describes as “a soft, dark alto with qualities one might associate with barrel-aged bourbon or butter-soft leather”. Wright sings with a sublime reflection on the cultural fabric of America. She bridges social divides with an offering of love and a deep sense of humanity. Her music embraces the beauty of reality and a collective sense of belonging. For listeners, Wright’s songs embody a tradition that allows them to always feel at home.
