Lutz Drenkwitz in Darmstadt

Description

Just in time for the Wacken Open Air, where our protagonist performed again in 2023, the new CD “Im Rahmen des Unüblichen – Teil 2” is now being released. Sixteen pop-punk gems of German songwriting, which have already held their own in live performances (?), enchant listeners with their directness, raw authenticity, and unconventional execution. Drenkwitz embraces you with his music and his lyrics, but he also occasionally taps on the willing listener’s skull to see if anyone’s still home. Just as we know him, those of us who know him. Awesome, as always. Live, this one-man entertainment machine from Bremen, who plays bass with his left foot and drums with his right, brings along anyone who wants to and is able to join in, backed by a track record honed over hundreds of concerts. His cheeky, direct style doesn’t just define the music, it turns every concert into an entertaining, enduringly amusing experience. Seen that way, there’s nothing quite like it, one of a kind, the master bandleader.
