Starwhore presents | ASCHAFFENBURG ROCK CITY INVASION in Darmstadt

Description

An evening dedicated to young musicians from Aschaffenburg. Some of them now live in Darmstadt and enrich the local music scene with their projects. The best-known act of the evening is likely to be the neo-psych-krautrock band LUCID VOID. With their psychedelic soundscapes, they invite the audience to close their eyes and let themselves drift away. Their fluid compositions are characterized by jazzy rhythms, epic builds of tension, and haunting melodies. Following their debut EP “Saat” (2020), they’ve played stages and festivals all over Germany. In 2023, their first full-length album was released on SOUND OF LIBERATION. A new album is in the can and will be released shortly. The newly formed band LEBENSHILFE (formerly NOISY VALET) played their first concert together with ARTIFICIAL GO at “Lost In The Future” in Aschaffenburg in May 2026. The musicians describe their sound as “Dull Music.” With simple song structures and dense soundscapes, the quartet succeeds in creating a solid foundation that is broken up by noisy guitars. The lyrics range from inner insecurity to the lonely neglect of young adults in our society. The band consists of members from other projects such as ELECTRIC JUGS, DEAD TASTE, and ABZUG. MANNEQUIN PROJECT will open the evening, a one-man show featuring distorted guitar and noise effects, a musical treat for every ear. You’ll be thrilled and unsettled… Julius, the one-man act, is also a member of JANE THE BLITZ. LUCID VOID © Joško Joketovič
