Weimarer Kabarett: Goethe Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten in Darmstadt

Description

In a colorful, musical, and hilarious evening, Bernard Liebermann and Thierry Gelloz set out to uncover the secrets of Privy Councilor Goethe. “Peace reigns above all peaks…”? Not a chance! At the Weimar Cabaret, it’s anything but quiet: here, the audience is slapping their thighs with laughter at *Faust I* and *Faust II*. Bernard Liebermann and Thierry Gelloz are to blame: In a colorful, musical, and hilarious evening, they set out to uncover the secret of Privy Councilor Goethe. And they dare to compare his era with today. One thing is clear: Everything was better back then. Back then, today was still tomorrow and yesterday was today, unimaginable today! The Weimar Cabaret asks the big questions: Who is the modern-day Goethe? Why did Privy Councilor Goethe fall on deaf ears with Beethoven? What would impress the “Prince of Poets” more today, the artificial intelligence of machines or the natural stupidity of his fellow human beings? The two verbal acrobats, Liebermann and Gelloz, tie their tongues in knots and give your laugh muscles a workout: Weimar with wit, cabaret with classical music, Goethe with gags. Spotlights on, or, to quote Goethe: “More light”!
