h_da Erasmus+ Staff Week: Darmstadt City Walk in Darmstadt
Game Type: custom
City: Darmstadt
A self-guided city walk for guests of the h_da Erasmus+ International Staff Week: nine stops through the centre of Darmstadt and up to Mathildenhöhe, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At every stop, the story of the place waits for you as text and as an audio guide, in English, German or Turkish.
The walk begins at the palace from which Darmstadt was ruled for centuries, and at the museum inside it. It passes the White Tower and the Hessian State Museum, crosses the city's oldest park, and visits a congress centre named after a chemical element and a bronze cast from a dialect comedy. It ends on the hill where artists set out to redesign everyday life. Feeling confident afterwards? Test yourself with nine riddles about the stops.
