Sumpf in Darmstadt

Founded in 1984, Sumpf grew from a student-run pub into a beloved cultural institution in Darmstadt. Known for its live music, jam sessions, darts, political events, whisky tastings and creative community, it survived financial struggles and smoking-law changes through the creation of Kultur Club Sumpf e.V. Housed in a historic protected building on Kasinostraße 105, Sumpf remains famous for its unique atmosphere, loyal regulars and countless legendary stories.
