For over two years, we’ve been informing, discussing, protesting, and proving ourselves right: Construction of the information center on the eastern slope of Mathildenhöhe has been halted. This is no coincidence. It’s the result of protest, of perseverance, of many people who never stopped asking uncomfortable questions. That’s exactly what we want to celebrate. Because halting construction is just the beginning. Now it’s about the future of the Osthang. “Osthang bleibt” calls for renaturation instead of land sealing and genuine participation by the city’s residents in further planning! The city’s decision shows: When many voices come together, change can happen. To ensure it stays that way, we need to be even louder now. Thank you to everyone who stood up for this cause. To everyone who signed the petition, lent their support, listened, or simply joined us. We want to keep the Osthang culture alive. We’re here, we’re loud, and the Osthang will not be built over.
