When Darmstadt went from the third division to the Bundesliga across 2014 and 2015, the name of the south stand became the banner of the whole run. Jonathan Heimes, known to everyone as Johnny, was a lifelong supporter who fought cancer and coined the motto Du musst kämpfen. Players and fans carried it onto the pitch and into the national press, and few grounds in Germany wear a supporter's legacy that openly.
